Name: Our Lady of Mercy College and Convent
Location: Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia
Our Lady of Mercy College and Convent, Parramatta, is a large complex of late nineteenth and twentieth century buildings built over a whole city block. It is the site of Australia’s first Catholic Convent and, during the 19th century, the site of other benevolent and charitable activity by important communities of the Catholic Church. The place has been used as the girls’ school and convent for over 120 years, both of which are today important institutions of Parramatta.
This Conservation Management Plan (CMP) has been prepared to assist in the future care and development of the property. In particular to provide guidance for new buildings and additions.
