Lanark is a late Victorian two-storey house with basement, the most intact of a group of four very similar villas. We re-ordered the rear wing, added a two-storey extension and lowered the basement for teenager space. During the excavation of the basement the builder found a piece of stone with the name of the house on it. We incorporated it back into the front wall.
